Key

The river gorge is the northern most climbing area in Serra da Leba. The walls mostly face north west meaning that it is best to climb here in the morning. Temperatures can get very hot here compared to the other climbing areas (the plateau and the gorge), though is perfect for a swim before or after a climb to cool off. Due to the access to water, this climbing area is recommended for summer when it gets very hot. The two crags are Mini Waterfall and the Riverbank crag. The GPS tracks to the crags can be found under the crag.

Th Mini Waterfall is a small rock face next to the waterfall by the main rock pool. The waterfall will be seen on the right once descended into the gorge. Currently there is only one route but has potential for a few more routes. This is a great place for swimming below the waterfall. There are anchors for a waterline to be set up. The one anchor can be found at the start of the route, Chasing Waterfalls, on Mini Waterfall wall. The other anchor is directly across in front the waterfall on a rock face above the rock shelf.

The Riverbank is a further walk down the gorge along the river. There are a few little waterfalls until there is a large waterfall drop off. Riverbank is situated by this large waterfall drop off where one would have to cross the river on top a small waterfall, just before the large waterfall drop off, where it is shallow. There is a small area about waste deep for a swim. This crag faces north west and can get very hot. The base of the routes generally has shade but the climbing route is exposed to the sun.
