Plateau Wall

This area is a large cliff face that over looks the iconic Serra da Leba road pass and horizon of the Namibe desert. The crags start next to the large waterfall from the River Gorge area across to the opening of the Gorge climbing area. Miradouro restaurant is based on top of the cliff face. All these crags need to be abseiled into from the top of the plateau. The routes abseil points are easy access as the road goes along the top of the plateau cliff edge though it can be tricky finding the anchor to abseil to the bottom of the route. Due to the big wall, there are many multi-pitch routes. There are still a selection of single and two pitch routes with some 7-pitch routes. The wall spannes roughly 1km with a lot of potential for new routes to be developed.

The crags on the Plateau Wall includes Waterfall Wall, Lockjaw Crack, Yuba City, Red Wall, Miradouro Wall, and West Wall. Most of these walls get morning shade. Some routes have evening shade depending on the orientation of sections of the wall.

The parking for all these walls is in front of Miradouro Restaurant/ the Serra da Leba view point. The Serra da Leba pass viewpoint has a platform with railing along the cliff edge.
