There's not much in the immediate vicinity of Sommerset West or Gordans Bay, so the re-opening of the Surfside Crag on the drive-up to Steenbras Dam is a welcome offering. Similar in style to Montagu, the crag offers more than initially meets the eye, with fantastic views out over False Bay.

Developed in the late '90's, the routes are short, powerful and hard - with possibilities for more of the same, just harder.
