Dolerite crags within the lush green forest of the Fort Fordyce Nature Reserve, open to the public ! From the approach to the crag be ready to spend the day surrounded by nature. Fort Fordyce has seen its fair share of strong climbers, including a memorable visit in 2009 during the Eastern Cape Rock ‘n Road Trip. The event drew some of South Africa’s top climbers, along with Adam Ondra, then the reigning world champion. The Orange Wall hosted the Flash for Cash redpoint event, where Ondra quickly dispatched most of the challenging routes set for him. True to style, he left behind a couple of unopened projects and a ground-start variation to Rocky, preserving future challenges for local climbers.

Beyond climbing the nature reserve offers walking trails, swimming, bird watching and a rich heritage.
